About American Fishing Contests

American Fishing Contests is managed by Don Kaldunski of Brookfield, WI. It grew from my quest to find local ice fishing contests to attend during Wisconsin winters.

Searching for and finding contests proved to be very difficult. There was no one source that listed all the contests in a geographical area. The search slowly grew to include all fishing contests across America. The result is American Fishing Contests. I hope you find this site useful and it helps you locate a fishing contest you’d like to attend.

Every fisherman has their own special spots where they like to fish alone or share only with their most trusted, closest friends. But, for those times when you wish to participate in the camaraderie and competition that fishing contests offer, American Fishing Contests will help you locate an event near you or wherever you may travel. I’ve found that attending these events is a great way to meet old friends, make new friends and introduce others to fishing.

Whether you are a bass, walleye, muskie, crappie, catfish, marlin, sailfish, billfish, salmon, shark, trout or whatever species fisherman, you are, this website will list a contest for you.

Whether an event is for freshwater, saltwater, open water or ice fishing, they are listed here. Every effort is made to make this the most complete, up-to-date directory of fishing contests in America. If you know of an event and it is not listed, click here.
